Why must you do the thing, WordPress…

Well, I tried to update this thing when WordPress told me that an update was available.

I wound up having to manually upload the update for it to take, although I was then able to re-install it after I had done that and it went through without a hitch. Something something “critical error”, it said to me…

For Christmas, among other things, Bub is getting a 400GB microSD card for our Nintendo Switch because he maxed out the 256GB one. I’m not sure whether I should be impressed or a bit frightened… maybe a little bit of both. That’s approximately one-fifth of the size of the hard drive in our PC laptop. And isn’t it ironic? He got the 256GB microSSD card last year. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s going to take him around a year to max out each card he’s given for the device. I’m probably going to give it to him before Christmas, like when it arrives, and re-download all of his games onto the thing so that he has access to all of them by Christmas.

I was also given some Madison Reed hair dye for Christmas in the color that I chose, and I’ll be writing about my experiences with that later. But for whatever it may be worth right now, the color that I chose on their website was rimini garnet (Rimini Garnet?). I wanted something deep but noticeably red, a bit Rowena MacLeod-ish. Her hair seems to be more coppery than this color though, but I like this color so here we are.

I am part of a lot of Discord servers now…

I now have a fourteen-year-old child! And I’m thirty-four years old myself. Holy shit.

And remember when I said that I was going to limit how many Discord servers I was a part of to make them easier to manage? Yeah, well… that didn’t exactly happen. I am a member of three Satanic servers, one that has to do with the Destiel ship on Supernatural, and one that helps organize how we are currently protesting the CW (and more to come, I’m sure) for lack of diverse representation in their media. By my own standards this is a lot of Discord servers, but I like them, so I’m going to try my hardest to juggle them and keep all of the balls in the air or in my hands. One server wants to get a(nother) Satanic podcast up and running, too…

If all goes according to plan I’d like to participate in that podcast myself, and happily, too.

And the first song that plays in this video is obscenely catchy. I have no other words for it.

Forget all your fears and follow me.

Not too long ago, one of the stabilizers that was holding my closet rod broke, and my closet rod fell down in my closet because of that. So time had to be spent replacing the broken stabilizer and then hanging all of my clothes back up on the rod once all of the repairs were done — I took the time to throw away all of the clothes that I had gotten from my old college’s bookstore because I have no good memories left of attending said college. That freed up space in my closet for the clothes that I got as early Christmas presents, so even though I wish that my closet rod had never fallen down to begin with, the timing on that couldn’t actually have been better. I also took the time to clean and organize my closet, because I have to keep a lot of Bub’s items in my own closet since he has the proclivities to damage and tear books when not monitored… heh.

I am now beginning to buy Christmas presents, though. And I have the room to hide them in my closet.

Also, I am addicted to this song because Zoey 101 gave me so much life during its air.

If it’s not one thing, it’s definitely another…

I think the charger for my FitBit… doesn’t exactly work as intended.

I have to hold it against the back of the Versa to get it to continue to charge, which kind of defeats the purpose of “set it and forget (about) it until it’s done charging”. Although I’m thankful that it works in terms of continuing to be able to charge it, I may replace the charger. And the strange thing was that the charger worked fine when I first began to use it, but for some strange reason as I continued using it as needed, that was when it worked less effectively, then not unless I firmly held the Versa to the charger… it’s one of those that the device “nestles in”, where you snap it inside of the charger and something on the front of it holds it to pins on the back where the charging actually takes place, if any of that makes sense. If only these devices weren’t so confusing, and if only these devices didn’t all come with their own individual charger that wasn’t compatible with anything else except for that individual device. That’s a long-standing pet peeve of mine…

Bub actually had another “act of God” with his AAC device, so that had to be sent back to the company that furnishes these for repairs. The screen is sturdy, but it’s not impenetrable, and he insists on taking the keyguard off of the device and hiding it in the house. Why he does this, I do not know. I don’t think he would have broken the screen on the device like he did if he had left the keyguard on, and no amount of trying to explain to him why he needs to leave the device’s keyguard on the device has even remotely been effective.

The good thing is that his insurance fully covers necessary repairs on it since it is his communicative device.

As I write this, I have the background music from Kickle Cubicle playing in my head for some strange reason.
