I’m not sure if I already mentioned this, but…

I’m not sure if I ever mentioned it here, but I’ve since decided to move back to the main servers on Among Us because the roles on Skeld.net didn’t always… cooperate, if that made sense, they weren’t playing like the ones that some of the most popular YouTubers have, and I just felt like if that weren’t the case I would be much better off playing on the official servers. So that’s what I’m back to doing for now. But I have heard that they use different mods and quite possibly, probably, a different server to play on, so there is also that.

I also formatted an external hard drive that I had used for various college-related odds and ends so that Bub could have all of his games readily available, and I am so glad that I did. It’s a 1TB hard drive, so it’s bigger than the hard drive currently in our computer, and it’s already half full of Steam games. I don’t think I’m ever going to completely fill it since we have the majority of what we want already on it, and the majority of games that Bub likes are not particularly huge. But still, there is that occasional large outlier to contend with.

If I could, I would go back to college and get my bachelor’s degree in psychology (or maybe even biology if they have it at this campus!), but I don’t need to do anything that would imperil my chances at successfully getting disability for myself, and there’s the fact that maintenance medications for migraines make expressive and receptive language more difficult as well as complex thought in general. It would take a lot out of me, and I may not have enough to give, and I wouldn’t want to fail any of those classes due to it. Gabapentin is not quite as bad as Topamax or Trokendi, but it… is. It is. We’ll just leave it at that. It just is.

This was not as fun as it had originally sounded.

Having made the decision to switch over to Skeld.net, I’ve since decided to switch back to the official servers.

For some reason, the other game modes (Jester, Troll) were not working for me as well as I had hoped they would. I’ve heard that there are other private servers out there, and I’ve been reading up on them in my spare time. I’d like to play on something that runs similarly to the server that Disguised Toast and his friends use. There also seemed to be the problem of the connection dropping more for me on that server than it ever really has on the official servers, but I can’t help but hold out hope that the official servers incorporate some of the roles that other people have come up with and coded into their own servers for play. One can hope…

I’ve also been getting rid of some things on this computer to save space because I have Bub’s Steam games on this computer. Regrettably, I chose to get rid of Ragnarok Online to ensure that he would continue to have optimal room to play them with me, and it’s not a decision that I regret… especially since my interest in Ragnarok Online literally waxes and wanes, and right now it is at a lull. Maybe if I can figure out how to save space on this computer, more space than I’m already saving, I can find some way to get it back on here and still have an amount of free space that is beneficial to us and that is something that I am comfortable with.

Yeah, so I’m switching over to Skeld.net.

Since a friend mentioned it and I liked it enough to try it, I’ve begun to play on the Skeld “public” (in all actuality, it fits the definition of private server if you want to get technical) server. I had eventually begun to grow tired of not being able to get into public games on the official server because of how quickly they fell out, the glitching that comes with some of them such as drops due to “lag”, and how public games could — and very often would — go on this server. So far, I have had absolutely no problem with public games on Skeld… that, and they have variations of the official game that make it quite fun to play, such as Cops & Robbers where one person is the Sheriff and can shoot the Impostor (although if they’re wrong, they and that person die, and it actually winds up helping the Impostor out), clones (where everyone “is” you, making it that much harder to find out who the Impostor is), and zombies where your goal is not to get infected.

The people on Skeld also tend to be really nice, and chatting with them is enjoyable as I’ve come to learn.

I am much better at playing Among Us than I thought I would be, or even was when I first began playing it. I continue to be an excellent crewmate, although on a standard game I am also not the worst at being an Impostor (although if I am the only one, or the only one left, that’s when it starts to get difficult for me, heh).
