As always, that actually manages to surprise me.

I spent the last few hours preceding the publication of this blog post preloading Tekken 8, which I’m surprised Steam even let me do in the first place. Over the course of the period of time that I’ve used it, Steam has… really been touch and go with a lot of things, and I continue to support the arbitration that it looks like Steam is forcing everyone into who had been overpaying for games over the course of the last several years. I mean, there have been some cases where I haven’t been able to download a game that I had ordered us until eleven o’clock in the evening, “the day of release”, although I’m not going to make it a habit to give Steam credit for anything until arbitrations have been paid and they’ve begun to work on the issues they have. I know that we are due something at some point, because my kid has really become PC Master Race and Steam has literally managed to crush the competition in almost all cases. So, I mean, let’s do this.

Don’t mind me though. I’ve been with this franchise since the second game dropped.

I want to be able to play Jun Kazama! Give me back my main character. Asuka is okay, but I really want Jun.

The hits evidently keep right on coming, friends.

The closer it gets until I suppose someone from my high school graduating class pulls together a twenty-year reunion or… doesn’t, the more I consider myself lucky that I wasn’t invited to any ten-year reunion and that I don’t keep in touch with the majority of these people. (Like, please just let this keep right on. Seriously.)

For instance, I found out about a week ago that almost all of the people that I was friends with in high school are MAGA supporters now. Given the circumstances, this shouldn’t surprise me as much as it does given that this is Texas we are talking about here (or I am writing about, at any rate). And if they aren’t die-hard MAGA supporters, their close family members are, and that’s still something that I do not actually want to deal with in any capacity. Spare the one or two people from high school that I would like to reconnect with that I haven’t reconnected with and not counting the one that I have already reconnected with, I am happy as can be hoping that no one reaches out to me in attempts to reconnect. I am not going to barter my humanity.
