A stopped clock is right twice a day, right?

It may have taken our state governor forever to authorize this, but… now SNAP recipients are allowed to use SNAP for curbside pickup with certain retailers, and now they can even order online with two large retailers if they get SNAP anywhere in the state. And it may have been authorized as a direct result of the pandemic, but I am still appreciative of the fact that it was even done. Up until recently, this was never even an option, and only select (mainly Democratic-led) states permitted one, maybe both, things to be done with SNAP funds. But at the end of the day, barring the whole “a stopped clock is still right twice a day” clause, I still have absolutely no respect for my state governor — or the President that we still sadly have, for that matter.

Respect is earned, not given. I don’t have to respect people who have not earned it. I will not be “made” to.

In other news, I may utilize this and begin ordering at least some of our groceries online. That would help…

Another bumpable song from this trilogy.

I don’t think Final Fantasy has ever made a song, or an inherently bad game, although I have… things to say about Lightning Returns — the game itself isn’t bad, I do like the storyline, I just hate the doomsday clock…

This is another one of my favorite songs from Final Fantasy XIII-2. I just love this game’s soundtrack.

Some more things that I forgot to add…

In the whole debate about cops, I’ve noticed that comparisons between members of the military and members of the police force have been made. Given that I live where I do, I wanted to draw comparisons.

· getting a domestic violence/similar conviction ends your military career
(this also means that you can not claim veteran status if you were otherwise eligible)
· this is not the same for members of the police force… you can still work as a cop
(it is up to the mercy of your superiors whether or not you are actually fired for this offense)
· as a result, 40% of policemen are documented to have committed acts of abuse against family members
· simply being arrested for an act of abuse can mess up a military man (or woman)’s career
(at this point it doesn’t kick them out of the military, but it can affect re-enlistment/still end their career)
· already having a domestic violence arrest/conviction prior to enlistment bars you from joining the military
(there is no such bar if you want to join the police force, as it’s up “to discretion” if you can still join)

Basically, it’s a lot more difficult to join the military, and stay in it, than it is to become and stay a cop.

I feel like if we make it more difficult to become, and stay, a cop, we might affect some positive change in this country that doesn’t continue to culminate in the murders of black men we’ve horrifyingly continued to have.

It figures that I would like this song, y’all.

Well, I had given a SEO plugin a try for a little while, but since it didn’t deliver the results that I had hoped for, I figured that there was no harm in getting rid of it. After all, I’m about saving space when and where I can.

But at any rate, it figures that I would like this song for multiple reasons, so here it is.
