Some lyrics that I found especially poignant.

Find Yourself
John O’Callaghan

Drawn into the backdrop here
You could fade, you could fade away
Bright lights on a starless night
Burn a hole in the dying day

Looking at life through a loaded gun
Take your best shot, aim it at the sun
Looking at life through a loaded gun
You know you’ll find

You’ll find yourself, you’ll find yourself alone
You’ll find yourself, you’ll find yourself

Drawn into the darkness here
With your eyes on the prize at stake
Faint hearts on an endless path
Letting go of the ones we break

Looking at life through a loaded gun
Take your best shot, aim it at the sun
Looking at life through a loaded gun
You know you’ll find

You’ll find yourself, you’ll find yourself alone
You’ll find yourself, you’ll find yourself

Drawn into the backdrop here
You could fade, you could fade away
Bright lights on a starless night
Burn a hole in the dying day

Looking at life through a loaded gun
Take your best shot, aim it at the sun
Looking at life through a loaded gun
You know you’ll find

You’ll find yourself, you’ll find yourself alone
You’ll find yourself, you’ll find yourself

Still hoping not to be contacted, but…

Two of the things that I got with our third stimulus check were a high school class ring and one from the two-year college that I got my associates’ degree in Biology from (as I was able to complete that before onset of various disabilities that make now attending college something that I can not do). I am still of the mindset that I do not want to attend any class reunions, though. Fortunately for me, I was not contacted when students from my graduating class tried to put together a ten-year reunion, and I hope not to be contacted for any twenty-year reunion. I’ve only kept in touch with one person that attended high school with me, and he only went there for a year. Aside from that, I am not involved in anything that my graduating class does, and I hope never to be. It’s just not something that I want to do at any point.

I would have gotten a class ring while still in high school, but my mother wouldn’t let me order one with the customizations that I wanted to make to it. Now that I’m a whole grown adult, though, I can choose the customizations that I would like… which I did. Maybe at some point I’ll take a picture of it and post it here.

Our hard drive comes in for the clutch!

I found out that you can install Epic Games onto an external hard drive, which makes me so happy.

I don’t have the largest external hard drive in the world, but it’s bigger than the one that is currently on board on this computer. So it’s actually more prudent for me to dedicate an entire external hard drive to games. I got Bub all of the Kingdom Hearts games that came out for the PC for the first time through Epic Games, and their customer service was actually incredibly helpful when I had problems relating to one transaction.

Meanwhile, with my share of the fourth stimulus check I purchased a few more pairs of cyberlox to wear in my hair. I am progressively getting better at wearing them, or at the very least, “sucking less at wearing them”. Phrase it how you like. I also purchased some cosmetics from Colourpop, Deck of Scarlet, and EMcosmetics. This makes me really happy. Purchases from Hot Topic were also made, since why not?

As it was, I needed a new pair of sneakers since my old pair got holes in some slightly awkward places.

It also took nine years for this to happen.

I have a smaller wound next to the… largest wound.

Since I had been preparing for that likelihood, taking oral antibiotics in addition to using antibiotic cream on the infected areas, I was quickly able to find it. This one formed a bit more painfully than that one, although that one formed slightly painfully as well (and was misattributed to “chub rub”). It formed almost like a burn would have, and it certainly looked like one, although now I know what the most likely cause of these are.

With my third stimulus check, I bought an indoor bicycle since that is more my “style” and can easily be put together and stored in my room. If I can keep this at bay with exercise, I fully intend to do so, although I also know that I have an extensive family history of early-onset type two diabetes… so I may not be able to outrun this. Not entirely. I can see me needing to be put on some kind of medication for it in the (near) future.

To be honest, I did expect cellulitis to be a diagnosis because of how some of these wounds formed. To know that there is a specific cause behind them connected with family history has been a bit depressing, though.

But in case it needs to be said, I also spent a portion of my third stimulus check on exercise equipment.
