Listening to music from the old Tales… games lately (how do I parse that? “Tales…”? “Tales of…”?) is getting me to want to play some of the old games in the franchise, continuing to hold out hope that a few of the older ones are remade for the newer consoles even though we continue to have a lot of our old consoles and the game discs that came off of them. I’m also taking the time to go through my younger son’s video game collection as I try to do at least twice a year, because there’s no use in holding onto too many copies of some games not able to make room for others. And I really, really want to replay some of these, especially retro.

I fixed that problem a lot faster than I thought!
By filing prompt complaints about… what should not have happened, I was able to get the problem that I had been having solved by the end of that business day, which I received confirmation of over the portal.
I was not expecting the wheels of bureaucracy to work quite that quickly, so I’m impressed.
I’m not going to hold out hope that things will be resolved quite that quickly in the future, but it’s a start!
If it’s not one thing it’s certainly another here…
I renewed my family’s SNAP benefits today and they took my work exemption off of my application.
So now I’m filing to appeal that and have it reinstated since I continue to homeschool thirty hours per week.
I don’t actually think I covered it here, but…
My oldest son has been found eligible for adulthood disability benefits, to include continued receipt of his late father’s Social Security benefits as he has rightfully and justifiably been deemed a Disabled Adult Child! This is a major weight off of my chest, him clearing the Age-18 redetermination hurdle like he did, even though it took several months for the feds to collect all of his medical information (even though I gave them his IQ testing twice myself to be on the safe side), and I thought his survivor’s benefits would pause until they came to some kind of determination. I am extremely glad to have found out that this is not the case! My son will always have access to the things that help him continue to thrive and I am unbelievably happy that he will!
This should come as a surprise to no one, but…
The Portland branch of the FBI has continued to stay in contact with me about the case with my stalker.
They have the false police reports that he attempted to make in hand, and they are liasoning with feds in other branches of the government’s law enforcement to find this dude and get me some justice out of the situation that has been this man stalking me for as long as he has, telling me that he was going to attempt to cross state lines with his brother’s gun “to visit me”, that he would “deplatform me” (this was changed when people began screenshotting him advocating for his end goal getting to make me self-harm, and FBI and IC3 have seen the Tweets made about that since they forced Twitter to hand over all of the raw data on his account after they had suspended it), and that he would “make me run for the rest of my life”, that “watching me crash out and spiral was soooo much fun”, even though none of these things have happened.
I hate the fact that this case even has to be worked but this severely mentally ill man left us no choice.
My son was certified for adult disability benefits!
When I got mail from Social Security, I thought for a whole second that my oldest son’s adulthood disability determination was going to continue to take forever and that the state of Texas would just drag their asses.
Come to find out that my baby remains eligible for SSI and survivor’s benefits into adulthood!
I am so thankful for him to continue to have the tools he needs to be as successful as he can be. I love this.
