I’ve been getting into cycles of having to backdate several days worth of posting in here because I… became too busy to post once daily, and that’s a habit that I am trying my hardest to get out of. In the interim, I’ve downloaded more books to my Kindle Fire (is that the name of the Kindle I have? I think it is), and I’m preparing to pre-order James some video games in the weeks leading up to the surgery we are planning on my foot. There are actually people out there who have convinced themselves that I did not have a seizure falling on my foot breaking it because I do not have epilepsy, and I can only tip my hat to the level of delusion required to legitimately believe any of these things. Tales of Eternia comes out on Steam and the Switch, too! I grew up playing it when it was Tales of Destiny II on the PlayStation, and I am ecstatic to be able to introduce this favorite game of mine to my son when it finally releases sometime in the middle of next month.

Continuing to see the doctor for my foot…

In a few weeks I’ll have another X-ray done on my foot to guide the surgeon.
After that point, I’ll have a few pre-operative consults (one with the surgeon at the facility, the other with the doctor who is personally responsible for the care of my foot… if it sounds anything as confusing as it was when it was first explained to me, our understanding of it at least at the time is similar). Then I’ll have my foot operated on. I’ll have three more consults after that point to monitor healing, but it’s nowhere near as extensive as this post may make it sound, the actual operation… and that’s when I focus on healing to restore the ability to walk normally. The only thing that surprises me about all of this will be the fact that it will have taken just under six months for me to get in with a podiatrist to have a clearly foot operated on.
