So Bub has managed to do the thing again, y’all.

He has managed to fill the Nintendo Switch’s internal hard drive and our most recent microSD card.

This does not surprise me. However, I’m not sure if Nintendo themselves manufacture a card larger than this, and I’ve had trouble getting the Switch to… accept, for lack of a better way to put it, third-party cards (remember that whole trial and tribulation?), so buying a third-party card larger than this is a hell of a “maybe” to gamble on if you know what I mean. I’ll begin to do research on the matter, though. I have to.

So we’re back to playing Splatoon 2, folks.

So I’ve gotten back into playing Splatoon 2, and Bub continues to like it just as much as he did when Splatoon was the newest game in the series and the WiiU was Nintendo’s newest console. It took me a few matches to familiarize myself with what buttons did what in the game, especially because we never actually play it on the television — we always play it handheld — but then it began coming back to me, and I resumed decimating the opposing team with the roller, especially on the maps I’ve always been good at.

I’ve also managed to nail 2,000 points in a few matches, too, which is certainly no easy feat at all!

As far as Splatoon 2 goes, it’s a lot easier and more fun to play than any of the Halo games have ever been to me. For some reason, I do a lot better maneuvering around in video games when I can actually see all of my character, and Splatoon has never been extremely competitive. It seems to attract the kind of people who like shooter games but also just want to have fun, who tend to be my kind of people. I like these games, but I think this entire blog has made it clear that I don’t take gaming extremely seriously, and I try to surround myself with like-minded gamers who do not take gaming extremely seriously or even just particular genres.

It’s totally a team effort when we win. Completely. Bub contributes in his own meaningful way to wins.

Lists with bullet points are fun. Why not use them?

· I found out that I’m related to an author through Ancestry, so I sent them a message
· an actual mask mandate was codified in my state by the governor, which surprised me in a good way
· the local school district was prevented from starting in-person instruction until at least Labor Day
· I was unblocked by the local school district on social media after I mentioned to a news agency while a livestream was going with the superintendent, which everyone saw, that the local school district had blocked me after I had voiced concerns about their enthusiasm to open school doors in the face of a global pandemic, flouting CDC recommendations regarding continued closure… the district was actually extremely quick to unblock me after I stated this in a livestream comment, which equally amused and bothered me

I am also looking forward to the idea of a second economic impact payment (“coronavirus check”), especially if I wind up getting one faster than the first one, which took absolutely forever for them to get around to getting me. As with the last one, I will mention purchases that I make with it as I make them. But it will all depend on exactly when I actually get this second economic stimulus payment as to what I actually get, so…
