This isn’t exactly a post I wanted to make here but…

Someone decided that because they didn’t like my livestreams, they were going to post my oldest son’s unlisted phone number encouraging people from the Internet to reach out to him. When I was made aware that this had happened I promptly contacted local authorities on the matter, giving them links to the Tweet as it currently stood until the person’s account was suspended for doxxing (which, let’s be real, was precisely what happened here). Multiple people made me aware of this right before I was set to go live on Twitch, which caused me to delay going live that day until the problem was rectified. This person has since gone on to have five other accounts suspended for ban evasion, doxxing, stalking and threatening. Her friends also thought it was funny to attempt to deface my husband’s online memorials with one of them making jokes about how they were going to contact the sister-in-law of mine that has psychiatric problems and tell her that my husband made the alleged decision to end his own life because of me to cause her psychiatric and psychological distress. These are the kind of people I am dealing with as a content creator who just wants to live her best life. It doesn’t make me want to stop doing my job, but I shouldn’t be dealing with Gamergate.
