I mean, beggars can’t be choosers here, so…

It seems like a lot less people write in WordPress than they did in the 2000s.

I’m fine with that, though, because I enjoy using WordPress to write with.

I suppose it’s just a matter of finding other bloggers, especially ones that use WordPress (and it’s even better when it’s self-hosted WordPress!) and adding them to my blogroll, although even if they don’t use either one of those two things that’s fine too. I don’t write for anyone else but me, although that doesn’t mean that I don’t like reading what other people have to say and having a more active, robust blog than I do now in terms of comments. It seems like it’s a ghost town out there since, comparatively speaking, so few people blog openly like this. And that doesn’t go to mean that all of my posts will be open — once I get more readers, or enough readers, I might make password-protected posts in here, that way I don’t wind up locking everyone out whenever that time may be. I suppose I should figure out what those posts may be about, and consider coming up with a password or multiple passwords for these posts that aren’t really easy to guess…

I mean, that may be awhile out, but it’s better not to forget about the whole thing and scramble to work on it.

“No shampooing” and the transition period.

I’ve begun to enter the transition period where my hair is a bit slicker than I would like, but brushing it from root to tip has really helped that out, along with cleaning it with water. Based on what I’ve read, it can take several weeks before one’s scalp is used to the fact that the oils on it are no longer being degraded with shampoo, and then everything is happier from that point onward. I’ve just been burned one too many times in the past using “color-friendly” shampoo and conditioner on my hair just to have it leech the color that I actually wanted to keep in my hair. When I have my hair tied back in a ponytail, it actually looks really good, and it’s easier to manage than it would be if I… didn’t. That said, I think I’m going to keep it this way more often than not until the transition phase of “no shampooing” is over and I only make enough oil and sebum on my scalp to manage… well, that. That’s the blog post. My scalp. Waiting for my scalp to normalize, heh.

From here on out, I think I’m only going to shampoo it before I completely dye over my hair, or there’s enough of my natural hair color that’s come in to warrant another dye job. If I can get past the transition period of my hair being… slightly oilier than I’m used to, that’s what I think I’m going to do as a general rule of measure…

Reasons that I’m still mad at Supernatural.

· as soon as Castiel confessed his love for Dean, he was literally killed by The Empty
· Dean wasn’t even given a chance to say anything back (in the American version of it, anyway)
· Castiel’s sacrifice was literally not mentioned aside from Dean telling Jack and Sam that he was gone
· the episode to follow that, which was the last one of the series, didn’t even address his sacrifice
· no one tried to bring him back in a show where deceased characters are notorious for being brought back
· actors and executives working on the show actually said “if you don’t like the ending, read/write fanfics”
· executives nearly completely lost their shit when the Spanish dub of Supernatural involved recriprocation
· said recriprocation was blamed on a “rogue translator” when any translation is a multi-step process
· one of the Winchester brothers was permanently killed while the other got to live to, and die from, old age
· Dean was never given a chance to get out of the hunting life and make something else of himself
· the passively suicidal character was the one that was killed off with Supernatural sending the strong message that anyone with any form of mental illness could not find happiness in life, only in death
· John Winchester apparently got to go to Heaven in spite of being the world’s worst father when alive
· the show seriously took fifteen seasons of character growth and threw it all away with the series finale
· you could watch the pilot of the show, then the series finale, and not be confused at all about anything
· some people practically grew up with this show just for the executives to craft the world’s worst finale

I think this covers nearly all of the “high points” of why I am so mad, so upset, and so sad at Supernatural.
