So I’m losing one of my friends. This just sucks.

One of the people that I’ve known the longest online, who has cystic fibrosis, is expected to pass away in a day or two due to liver and kidney failure from the medicines she had to take for… wait, well, the whole cystic fibrosis thing. I haven’t heard anything other than her husband informing her friends that she is probably going to pass away that day or tomorrow. I’ve known her so long, and we go back so long, when Bub was an infant on my lap. He’s almost thirteen years old now, and our friendship is the length of time of one Bub.

It’s still amusing that my interactions with the cystic fibrosis community are measured in Bubs.

…okay, to be completely honest, I do still find it a bit hilarious. He’s like a measuring cup, I swear.

Even though part of me wants to see her fight and her health improve, I don’t want to wish that on her if it means pain and suffering on her part. She wants to become stardust when she passes, and it sounds like she wants to travel the galaxy (I would too if I were in her position, because that sounds fun). At any rate though, I’ll always remember her, and I made sure she got that message from me while she was still alive.

In case anyone’s keeping track of this…

In case anyone thinks the pedophile (on Twitter) problem has gone away, it has not.

I tried to… make these screenshots line up better, but that’s the best I can do for now. This person in question, who people have been mass reporting for at least a month now, has had two previous accounts suspended with the suspensions upheld, and Twitter refuses to suspend him again. He is also a convicted pedophile, and prior to Musk’s acquisition of Twitter they were given proof of his identity and criminal conviction and suspended one of his accounts for that alone. Now all Twitter is doing is shadowbanning him, which essentially means that his handle does not and will not populate search results. That doesn’t get rid of the pedophile problem, though. As long as he remains on Twitter, minors (ages 13-17) are not safe on the site.

I mean, should any of us be surprised right now?

I’m not sure if I wrote about it here or not, but I had to turn the same person in to his local criminal justice unit and police department that I turned in before for posting revenge porn online, because he posted revenge porn of what seems to be another ex-girlfriend of his. However, we can not conclusively prove that he continues to reside in Jefferson County for this incident like we were able to the first one, and that’s important because this incident and all subsequent ones would be made felonies. It seems that he does not have regular access to Internet and that he isn’t using what social media accounts remain from those he deleted or had terminated by the website themselves — his initial, and main, Facebook account was actually terminated by Facebook for attempting to post revenge porn of the first ex-girlfriend on the site, and he deleted all other social media accounts he had open except for the many Facebook accounts he abandoned. However, his local criminal justice unit (or “local”), bless their hearts, have been investigating the matter…

One of the things that I found out at around that time is that the merchant he shoplifted from, whose offense he was convicted on, gave up on attempting to be made whole for the value of what he had stolen… so one of my guesses is that he quit his job upon being “notified” that Kentucky could garnish that amount from his wages. At any rate, they are no longer pursuing restitution. Beyond that, we are not conclusively sure where he is, but he’s bound to pop up somewhere… especially since family members with money are no longer paying his way to flee out of areas that law enforcement has noticed him in, and he no longer appears to have friends who are not people he’s doing drugs with. So if he flees this area, it’s likely going to be on foot.

The common denominator is that when he gets into a relationship with a woman who does not live in his area, if she does not pay for bus or plane tickets for him to flee his area he posts revenge porn of her. Suffice it to say, I am glad to have escaped him when I did, and so are a lot of the people that presently know me.
