I saw both of these things in real time.

Although I don’t consider myself part of fandom now, I was part of it at both of the times that this meme references and… no lies detected. If anything, this is just one of many reasons why I’m glad my kids’ access to the Internet is as limited as it is. Them getting into things like… this, like this, at the ages some of the more impressionable members of fandom were when they were either their loudest or most impressionable is not something I think I’ll be dealing with, and I am exceedingly thankful for that. (At the most, they watch television on the actual thing, or videos via YouTube or YouTube Kids, which I’m alright with and thankful for!)

Where are the days and nights going, y’all?

Now I get what people say when they’re working on a project — the bigger, the better, and the more likely they are to say this! I decided to put more work into Bub’s desk and desktop, which meant that more work would have had to have been placed into my bedroom as well as a side effect. I am completely happy with this, although removing knots from wires has not been as fun as I had anticipated… especially when I’m given little to no help doing so, because I’m not particularly good at this. It all eventually gets done though, the topic of conversation shifts and we begin to e told what “big bad” we’re up against. As much as I still don’t know why visual changes happen in the real lives of so many of these real-life participants, I still hold out the tiniest sliver of hope. There are two old games in particular that I’d love to see brought over here in some way. And I absolutely do love going off on tangents, even if they are mental. Isn’t this part of the purpose of blogging? (But believe you me, for the sake of business writing I can get and stay on aubject!)

This is interesting, but it doesn’t surprise me.

The person that I have been… keeping up on for valid reasons, was arrested this past week.

Apparently this person was, and has been, charged with one count of criminal trespass in the first degree and one count of resisting arrest. He’s supposed to show up at the courthouse early next week, which I know for a fact he won’t do unless someone physically makes him attending arraignment. This is the same person that eventually became convicted of the shoplifting offense that happened in that very county because he refused to come to all other court hearings after his county physically made him appear at the arraignment. I don’t know that his county’s criminal justice unit will get quite so lucky this time, and given how he’s deleted all of the social media sites that were public and that he used… this might have been premeditated, and he might have expected in his mind that “something could have haopened” (law enforcement involvement).

The fact that he hasn’t fled this state as fast as he’s fled others (and in one case, country) speaks volumes. He has more than likely tried to. All of his family members appear unwilling to help him, even some that had helped him out in the past. I can’t say that I blame them. It also seems like his friends are… not his friends any more, or not as close as they had been. Again, I can’t say that I blame them for any of this, because I don’t.

I don’t really know how else to word this.

The links may be long, but I am in support of the sentiment that at least tries to root cheaters out of multiplayer games. It’s a little more tolerable if you do whatever you want on your own time, provided that you don’t absolutely break the game, but streaming or competing for something and using cheats is where I draw the line. People make content and watch streamers to watch how they themselves actually play, even if they’re not too good at it. I’d actually rather see someone be bad at a game than openly cheat like this…
