It is to my understanding that my youngest son’s paternal grandfather is on a ventilator, and he’s five years and some change out from pancreatic cancer… so things aren’t looking good for him. That said, I attempted to reach out to my son’s grandmother and offer the family FaceTime with James if their patriarch is indeed in the Intensive Care Unit (I mean, where else would you be if you were on a ventilator?). I don’t expect the grandmother to respond to this the same way she’s refused to respond to all of my civil, polite inquiries and statements… but I felt like I had to make the offer and put it out there. I’m going to be the villain in their story no matter what because they are that determined to make me one, but the least I can do is make that difficult for them to do. I’m honestly going to be surprised if the old man survives this given his track history.
It appears that I’ve caught something hospital-acquired, which is always fun.
These posts always tend to be short, so I’m going to leave this post as it is and hit Publish.
The kids got their ID cards, by the way! They’re being sent in the mail.
That’s one of the last things I had to do.
I’m making this post after the fact because I got sick with something.
