I just felt like I would mention this in here…

Yesterday I saw posts on Facebook wishing the Power Rangers franchise’s Pua Magasiva a happy late birthday… you know, the Red Ranger from Ninja Storm. (I’ll get to watching more seasons, I swear.)

For those of you who don’t already know, the actor behind Ninja Storm‘s Red Ranger committed suicide as a result of his domestic violence convictions becoming public knowledge, as the name suppression order he’d wanted to keep on them expired and the judge overseeing the case refused to renew it. This happened in 2019, and every year since then Power Rangers fans have wished him a happy birthday each year when his birthday rolls around. I don’t feel like celebrating anything that has to do with him as much as I feel like forgetting about him, and letting him remain forgotten, due to being a domestic violence survivor. This is, and always has been, different from the tragic circumstances surrounding Jason David Frank’s death. I’ll get around to watching Ninja Storm, but I really do not want to hear about Pua Magasiva in a positive light.

I liked this so much I had to steal it from Instagram.

I feel like this is the most accurate representation of autism I’ve seen, all tied up with a neat little bow.

Or, well, almost.

I definitely have the social differences, myself.

I have what a lot of people call “special interests”, but I’m not sure I am comfortable with that terminology.

I don’t have many sensory sensitivites, other than the fact that I have to sleep in complete darkness to actually go to sleep, I have to be in the same position I’ve been in practically my whole life, and the blankets have to be arranged in a certain way. If that doesn’t happen, chances are… slim that I will fall asleep.

As for emotional regulation, I’ve been compared to Daria from Beavis & Butthead since that show came out.

I embody the satire. I am the satire.

I’m not sure about perception unless that’s defined as reading people, which I am not that good at.

“Other” amuses me.

And in case anyone is still wondering, heh…

It is a bitch to change the television over from gaming to actual television because of how many peripherals are connected to it. That said, it is not something that I like doing, so I only do it when it is… necessary….

And the last time it was necessary was when I watched the most recent episode of Doctor Who.

That should tell you all some of the things I haven’t watched or didn’t watch. Surprisingly, Supernatural fans that were supposed to be “on my side” began to block me on Twitter because I made the decision not to watch The Winchesters until at least the end of the first season with the explanation as to why so much of what we knew about John and Mary was retconned. That said, the more I think about it — even though I like the cast, especially Jojo — the more I don’t think I’m going to watch it at all unless something drastically changes in subsequent seasons. I knew from the start that it was going to be explained by way of alternate universe (bingo) or memory wipe, and being able to guess exactly how it was going to fit into the established Supernatural world in a way that wasn’t comfortable to me didn’t sit well with me. John and Mary’s stories continue to be things that I am not exceedingly interested in, even changed as they are in The Winchesters. I would have loved to see Wayward Sisters come to screen, but that’s neither here nor there.

If you’re expecting me to watch The Winchesters at some point, it is almost assured not to happen. I’m sorry.

There’s also the fact that I am completely neutral about whether or not it does renew for subsequent seasons. I’m not an avid television show watcher. I’ve probably only liked five or six shows my entire life.
