This is the second stalking situation I have dealt with, and all I want to do is livestream games.

This is the second person that I’ve dealt with in all the years that I’ve been livestreaming whose behavior has been inappropriate enough to warrant the intervention of law enforcement. Their police department has been contacted, which referred it to my police department since my children and I are the victims in this situation (I’m just going to go through my own local law enforcement from here on out for as long as I live here, though my ambitions are to move somewhere that makes it easier to livestream and work from home… when that becomes the case I’ll continue to go through whatever my local law enforcement is unless otherwise advised). There is a case number in the system for this person’s doxxing ꟷ this person doxxed my intellectually disabled nineteen-year-old son posting his phone number encouraging friends of hers to contact him “and remind him not to tell me”, or however she worded it ꟷ harassment, stalking, and threats. She has been given formal notice to cease all of these things, but since she has escalated this behavior over the course of months I will do what I continue to have to do to keep us safe and am filing for emergency protective orders next week covering my children in addition to covering myself. It’s whatever I have to do.

Although I had been putting a lot of effort into saving money to relocate (I am epileptic so can not drive a motor vehicle, and as such would not even trust myself to drive one in the first place now… I feel like that ship has sailed), thinking that it would be easier to delay streaming until that time was close to coming or actually did come, it’s been taking me a bit longer than I would like to relocate. I’m exploring other avenues to come up with the funding for that, and next steps to get out of state to one of the locations I’d like to live with living arrangements lined up. Right now just about the only worthwhile use of AI has been spitballing moving costs, giving myself more of an idea what I can reasonably expect to spend to have our items shipped where and which way we’ll be joining them. I would legitimately just like to live somewhere safer than I do now.

Though it’s not so much the inherent safety of the area, it’s the lack of supports Texas has for streamers.
